Warm Greetings from NIT Tiruchirappalli !!!

We are proud to inform that NIT Tiruchirappalli has been selected as one of the host centres for the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH 2019) Software Edition, organized by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. Of India, which is scheduled to take place on March 2nd and 3rd, 2019.

This is a nationwide initiative of MHRD, Govt., of India, which aims at providing a platform for technologically sound students to offer innovative solutions for pressing problems in the Industry. This initiative has received a phenomenal response, with over 1.5 Lakh participants spread across the country. The Grand Finale is to be launched by Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister for HRD, Govt. of India and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi is expected to connect for live interaction with the students. The Finale would have more than 10,000 students competing non-stop for 36 hours across the nation. The event would be given wide publicity round the clock via Press, Social Media and Live Coverage.

All the way, the Alumni have been great supporters in the growth of the institute and have supported the juniors by supporting them in their endeavors.  We take this opportunity to thank the alumni community for all their contributions.
